At SMP Europe, we’re proud to announce that we’ve achieved the prestigious Zero Waste to Landfill Certificate for 2023. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible waste management.
Through dedicated efforts and strategic initiatives, we’ve made significant strides in reducing our environmental footprint while fostering a culture of sustainability throughout the company.
Our journey towards this accomplishment was driven by a series of comprehensive environmental initiatives, anchored by our ISO14001 accreditation for environmental management. This certification has been instrumental in motivating us to adopt proactive waste reduction measures. We partnered with a specialist waste management company to streamline our waste removal processes, ensuring efficiency and sustainability across all our operations.
Our team’s collective commitment to maintaining our environmental goals and upholding our ISO14001 certification has been key. We consistently monitor our progress to ensure that the targets we’ve set are met, driving continuous improvement in waste management.
Sustainability is now a core part of our culture. We’ve integrated waste management initiatives into the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring everyone at SMP Europe understands the role they play. Clear signage and guidelines across our Nottingham head office reinforce the importance of recycling, conserving energy, and saving water.
